Filipino Volunteers
Publish on: 10, Oct 2019It started in 2018 with 5 Filipino domestic helpers who are trained in simple healthcare for domestic homes to look after the elderly. These Filipino volunteers spend 2 Sundays in a month from 10.00am to 12.30pm to visit our elderly in our Home. Overtime the number of Filipino volunteers had increased to now 20 strong as more of had decided to join their friends in befriending our elderly.
They engage, entertain and assist our nurses in meal feeding during lunch time. We are very thankful to these Filipino volunteers who have come on their own off days to spend quality time with our residents and our residents enjoy their visits.
