Camp Hiro/ SINDA – Afternoon Tea with Seniors
Publish on: 09, Mar 2019A new activity program was introduced by THK NH for the Youth leaders from SINDA. They attended a youth leadership organised by Camp Hiro. Camp Hiro is a Social Enterprise that seeks to empower youths in taking ownership and action in addressing real community needs.
For their last day of camp, the SINDA youth visited THK NH to spend an afternoon of interaction with our residents over afternoon tea on 9th March. The hall was set-up as a café with table cloths and cutleries. The afternoon tea consists of Soon Kueh Mini, Butter Cake in Box, Pandan Chiffon Cake in Box and Putu Mayam. Only English or Tamil speaking residents were selected. The youth and residents interacted with each other talking about almost anything, laughing and joking. It was great to observe that both the youth and seniors were enjoying each other’s company.
